Food and Beverage Manager

We require a creative, forward thinking individual with experience of food and beverage service. The ideal candidate will have a background & experience of bar and restaurant service.The successful applicant will have a strong and relevant background in hotel Food and Beverage. This role requires a hands-on approach from a manager who is prepared to lead from the front.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The candidate must be a positive, collaborative and enthusiastic individual with great leadership skills and the ability and vision to effect change where the need for this is identified.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports directly to the General Manager.
  • Work well with all departments & other members of the F&B team.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 year experience of working in a Food & Beverage/Bar environment preferred.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment preferred.
  • To have worked in a fast paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Managing the Food and Beverage team, including training, recruitment and conduct and performance management

·Full operational responsibility for the Food and Beverage department including but not limited to; scheduling rotas, purchasing, management of absence and holidays,

·Overseeing the financial performance of the Food and Beverage department including beverage stock control, management of wage cost in line with given budgets and influencing incremental revenue through developing a sales culture within the department.

·To oversee, coach and develop the senior F&B team, giving performance appraisals in line with company policy.

·Handling customer feedback both positive and negative in a proactive and constructive manner.

·Fully responsible for health and safety within the department

·To develop a structured training plan within the department to inspire a customer experience led culture.
