Entertainment Assistant

We have 16 hour weekly contracts available, but availability for weekends and holiday term times is essential.

We can also offer zero hour agreements, which would fit perfectly for someone who is currently in education OR someone who is wanting part time work but availability for weekends and holiday term times is essential.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Our entertainment schedule covers everything from arts and crafts, sports, pool sessions, food activities and night-time entertainments, and the successful candidate should be ready to get stuck into all aspects of this – but don’t worry, experience isn’t necessary and full training will be provided. So, if you enjoy working with children, being creative and thinking on your feet, get in touch!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Responsibilities will include but not limited to;

• Supervising play in our Kidzone
• Assisting and occasionally leading craft activities in the Craftzone
• Assisting and occasionally leading sports activities
• Preparing materials for sessions and cleaning down after sessions
• Assisting with the set-up of the ballroom
• Assisting with night-time children’s entertainment
• General upkeep of Entertainments areas
• Maintaining the cleaning standards within the department
• Encouraging guest involvement with the scheduled entertainment
• Occasional character work

Desirable:

• Previous experience of working with children
• Previous stage/performing experience
• Crafting skills
• Knowledge of safeguarding
