The founders of the hotel, Reg & Hilda Webb bought the hotel as a small guesthouse in 1946. The past half-century has seen dramatic changes, and the Hotel at present has 100 bedrooms, two restaurants, conference & Wedding facilities and a full leisure complex including a heated swimming pool, beauty salon and a fully equipped gym. The business has remained within the family for 80 years
