Welcome to the Dalmeny Hotel.

The Dalmeny Hotel Ltd is a forward thinking, ever expanding company and we take great pride in its longstanding reputation. We pride ourselves in our enthusiastic and hard working approach to providing the best possible service within the Hospitality Industry.

 

A Brief History of the Dalmeny Hotel

The founders of the Hotel, Reg and Hilda Webb bought the Hotel as a small guesthouse in 1946. The past half-century has seen dramatic change, and the Hotel at present has 132 bedrooms, three restaurants, extensive conference facilities and full leisure complex including swimming pool, squash court, beauty salon and fully equipped work out gym.

Between 1985 and 1998 the Webb family were co-owners of The Fairhaven Hotel Group (consisting of four other hotels in the local area). In June 1998 the group changed from one multiple operation to single operations, each one separately owned. The current owners of the Dalmeny Hotel are Mrs Sandra Webb, son Christopher Webb and daughters Samantha Lewis and Zoe Robertson.


MARTIN EVANS - GENERAL MANAGER

Martin originally began working at the hotel in 1986, when he was recruited as a YTS student. He then joined sister hotel The Grand. From there he had spells at Christopher's Bistro in Preston as Manager and as Food and Beverage Manager at the Clifton Arms.

His first position as General Manager was at the White Swan Hotel in Halifax. He then completed the full circle returning to the Dalmeny Hotel as General Manager in 2000.

LEE DUMBRILL - FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER

Lee studied in Sussex before joining the Gardener Merchant Group where he worked for 8 years in various roles including Catering Manager and Assistant Manager.

In September 1999 he joined the Atrium Team as Restaurant Manager, leaving in 2002 to become Banqueting Manager at the North Euston Hotel. In 2006 Lee returned to the Dalmeny and currently holds the position of Food & Beverage Manager.

DAMIEN SAXON - HEAD CHEF

Damien is our most recent addition to the Atrium Team. He has previously worked at host of establishments including The Alderley Edge Hotel, The Belmore Hotel in Sale and more recently as Sous Chef at Harvey Nicholls.

He came to the Dalmeny from Guernsey where he worked as a Sous Chef at La Trelade Hotel.

MATTHEW WARD - ATRIUM MANAGER

Matthew started his career in hospitality at the four star Foxfields Hotel as a general assistant.

He quickly stepped up to Assistant Manager, then Restaurant Manager before embarking on a short spell as a Recruitment Consultant within the hospitality industry.
